What To Drink for Nausea

[heart_this] · Aug 29, 2018 · 2 Comments

What to drink for nausea can be a challenge when you are having chemo or are pregnant, but there is natural help with this healthy Kick Nausea Juice.

Kick Nausea Juice

When I was going through chemo it was a challenge to find a food I could tolerate and one that might help me feel a little less sick to my stomach.  For me, the answer came in this Kick Nausea Juice combination I concocted. On the really bad days after my treatments, I would drink it several times a day.  It also provided me with good nutrients, which I needed since I was not eating much.

WHAT TO DRINK FOR NAUSEA

Ginger

The first anti-nausea ingredient that goes into your juicer is ginger. According to Everyday Health, “Ginger has a long history of being used to treat nausea, stomachaches, and diarrhea. In China, for instance, it’s been used to treat a variety of digestive and pain issues for more than 2,000 years. It’s unclear exactly how ginger works to ease nausea, but it’s thought that active components such as gingerol directly affect the digestive and central nervous systems.”

Lemons

Next, add some lemons. They contain citric acid, a naturally-occurring compound thought to aid digestion and soothe the stomach.

Green Apple

Then add green apples. They contain pectin, which helps in neutralizing the acids in your stomach and can prevent you from feeling nauseated. The green apple adds a little sweetness to the juice and supplies vitamin C which will help keep someone healthy whos immunities are down.

Mint

Last, a few springs of mint need to be added to the juicer.  Mint can have a calming and numbing effect if you ingest it. The main ingredients in peppermint create a calming effect on the gastrointestinal tract and relax the muscles in your stomach.
